About A&E Plastics
A&E Plastics was started in the fall of 1982 in the city of Chicago by Maynard Ostrowski & John Vlnka, both Journeymen Moldmakers.
Our Forte was to build and maintain Injection molds and then run the parts in a wide variety of Engineering resins.
Tooling changes were done fast and in house.
We had 2 CNC milling machines and 2 Molding Presses.
Our building was 2000 square feet in size. We had 6 employees by 1988.
By the year 1989, we moved to Elk Grove Village, IL and acquired
TCI Vacuum Forming Co. Inc. A plastics related company.
Our building size increased to 20,000 square feet.
We utilized Mastercam software in 1990 to assist in building of tools.
Employees were now up to 45.
Secondary operations now included: Assembly, Pad Printing, Sonic Welding, Heat Staking, 5 Axis Trimming, Painting,

ear 1995, we moved to a custom built building in Elgin, Illinois.

Building size increased to 40,000 square feet.
JobBoss accounting & manufacturing Software was instituted.
Newer CNC’s were added along with the addition of Pro-E and Solid Works Software.
In September 2001, we achieved ISO 9001:2000.
Injection Presses increased to 12 plus 6 Vacuum Forming Presses.
Employees reached 65 and 3 shifts at our peak.
Injection Molding machines up to 400 Tons.
Vacuum Forming machines up to 6’ X 10’ sheet size.
